Your safety comes first.
Verification, safety tools, and a team that acts on reports. Here's how we look out for you — and how you can look out for yourself.
How we protect the community
- Photo verification — members can verify with a selfie to earn a badge, so you can see who's confirmed.
- Human moderation — our team reviews reports and removes fake or stolen photos.
- Private safety flags — after a meetup you can privately flag no-shows or unsafe behaviour. These never appear publicly; they feed moderation.
- A real moderation team — reports are reviewed by people, and we act.
Meeting in person
- Meet in a public place the first few times, and get there under your own steam.
- Tell a friend where you're going and when you expect to be back.
- Use the in-app Date Check-In to share your plans.
- Trust your gut. You never owe anyone your time — leave whenever you want.
- Keep chats on Zigazag until you trust someone. Never send money to a match.
If something goes wrong
You can block or reportanyone from their profile or a chat, any time. Reports are confidential. If you're ever in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first — in the UK, dial 999.
For non-urgent safety concerns, reach us at safety@zigazag.co.uk.
